This hat is a statement piece and will carry off anything you put with it.  The chicness of the smooth, patterned straw tightly sculpted into the loops is really stunning and (I think) highlights the many years I've been making hats.  I couldn't pull this off 5 years ago.  The hat is very light despite the height and secures with an elastic behind the head.
